Full-bodied, elegant and incredibly fine red wines.
The smallest appellation of the Médoc in size, Saint Julien offers the most homogeneous red wines of Bordeaux.
The vineyard is built on a sedimentary rock. The soils are gritty and stony, mainly made up of gravel sandy clay and pebbles and similar on the surface. The subsoil, on the other hand, reveals a complexity that makes the variety of Saint-Julien wines. It consists of large layers of river deposit that drains water perfectly.
Thus Château Finegrave offers a typical richness of a Saint Julien, presenting a deep, dark ruby color. On the nose, the bouquet is thin, complex and very delicate. Red and black fruit with blueberries and blackberries are particularly smelled.
In the mouth, it is the tenderness and depth of the wine that makes its effect. The material is dense and spreads gently in the mouth.
